Borrow from another library

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

Interlibrary Loan:

The Ossian public Library encourages you to request materials that we do not own through interlibrary loan. Requests may be made to the library staff in person, by phone (563-532-9461) or by email at .  Please have the full title and author. If you are looking for books on a specific subject the staff can help you search the Iowa locator or you may search the locator on your own at   Iowa Locator  (ALL REQUESTS MUST BE MADE BY LIBRARY STAFF. ) Submit the Title and author to the library staff.

There is no fee for this service, but promptness in in picking up the material and returning it is expected. You will receive a call or email notification from the library when the material becomes available.

While we will request materials, lending libraries may not be able to send materials that are new or in some cases non-circulating. We will notify you if the material is not presently available.

The interlibrary loan service is made available through the State Library of Iowa . It greatly expands the resources of Iowa's individual libraries.

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
